If the occasion requires a jacket, fabric and construction is key. A de-constructed jacket has canvassing (pre-shrunk horsehair) stripped out to eliminate a layer. Lightweight blends are best such as Wool/Silk/Linen. Wool is durable and easy to care for, it carries an elasticity to it that eliminates creasing which is fantastic when paired with Linen. The silk will add texture with its luxurious feel and drapes beautifully. All combined, this is our best solution for a summer weight jacket that is lightweight, breathable and luxurious – without any creasing.
DRAW STRING TROUSERS
What it is – a great life hack! A trouser but with an elasticated waistband and drawstring finish. This allows you create a smart look but relaxed feel- we can create this in anything from stretch cotton to wear with sneakers and our knitwear, through to light weight virgin wool formal trousers.
With Utility pockets top and bottom coupled with a fabric belt, the safari jacket started life as a military garment in the tropics – later adopted by Hollywood stars such as Clarke Gable in the 40s and 50s . Predominately made in cotton and linen blends in summer, we also like to use other fabrics to change the look such as a warmer and textured flannel. It can be used as an over jacket to a shirt and tie, creating a formal look or paired with a roll neck from our knitwear range leans itself to a casual piece. This also gives you the versatility of a multi season jacket.
